Haven't had ajays in a few years and I came by with 2 cuzins and 2 nephs and It was the best 20 bucks I've spent in a min. I didn't get the nice woman with the glasses name but she hooked me upppp, didn't lmk exactly what I wanted at first so I kinda broke it down to her on what I had in mind and she came thru and made it come to life. My receipt tells what I got and for me it was exactly what I was looking for 10/10 off tops. Fosho coming back for more -John
My husband and I used to come here frequently for the cheesesteaks! We moved to AZ 8 years ago, but make it a priority to come visit anytime we are in town. You can't go wrong making your cheesesteak hogie style!
One of my favorite cheesesteaks, if not my favorite. While there could be more meat, the quality and taste is still amazing.
Our favorite place for Cheesesteaks! The portions are perfect to share (because we also get sweet potato fries & onion rings!). Tucked in a side street off main downtown area but usually plenty of street parking or find a spot in lot across the street. Hope in the wall place w just room for a couple people at a time to order. Have a few tables out front on street. Service is always quick and efficient, don't usually have wait long for order.
Ordered Door Dash. Chicken strips and fries. Fries Basic Good. Chicken Strips were good. Not too breaded, not super fresh, but much better than anything store bought. I got their buffalo sauce and it didn't have the right spice to it for me. I world not order buffalo wings from here. But the Blue Cheese, Ranch and BBQ sauce were good! BBQ tangy, sweet and spicy. Solid Chicken Strips and fries.
On a hot summer Saturday we dropped by A-Jays after checking out their reviews on Yelp. We almost passed after realizing there was no indoor seating but I love a good cheese steak and the aromas wafting over the counter convinced me to stay. We ordered two "originals", hoagie style and a generous basket of tots. Despite the heat we ate on the small sidewalk patio after arranging the seating to provide some shade. It's a hole-in-the-wall joint and easy to miss but Yelp and those enticing aromas weren't wrong. The cheese steak hoagies made for a flavorful lunch even if the mercury was trending toward the mid 80s. I loved the choice to use (slightly) spicy peppers over the traditional Bell Peppers in our sandwich and the tater-tots were plentiful and crisp. Opening and squeezing out catsup from 8 of those annoying and small pouches was the only downer to the meal. 5 for the cheese steak but dropped the score to a four for the lack of seating and catsup pouches.
